But I’m no lady lyrebird.*
*please let’s not discuss if this is real. Let’s assume it’s fake and enjoy our afternoons.

was that to me? i think that was to me
anyway, Netflix has the Attenborough docs so we can do some original research to confirm the slap bass transition theme mating song of the lyrebird. thanks to such ready accessibility, Frances is a big fan of “Life of Mammals” and asks to see the insectivore episode probably twice a month.
Goodness, no–not some close-channel “to you.” As I said via email, I get at least one of these “is it real?” questions every three posts or so…I’m trying different means of signaling when “realness” is relevant to the post. I think this is a hazard of writing a blog that is sometimes sociology (“real”) and sometimes bullshit (“not real”). I’m just trying to figure out how to manage the issue. I guess this way didn’t work, so I’ll try again.
I’m not sure if your Netflix (or is it Quickster…SIGH) research will yield an answer because the video’s title suggests it is an outtake, no? “Unseen footage” doesn’t reveal if it is on an “extras” loop or what.
Btw, *love* Frances.
