Surely one sign of the End of Days would be if your society gave responsibility for deciding the ontological status of god to the UK Advertising Standards Authority. And yet, this is actually what is bound to happen if religious groups continue their formal complaint against the Atheist bus advertisements found on double-deckers in that country. The entire story is documented at the Telegraph website. Basically, the bus placards, which read, “There’s probably no god. Now stop worrying and get on with your life” are criticized as false advertising in the proposed complaint. Strangely, a decision in the objectors’ favor would provide evidence for both propositions: that god exists and that there is no god. At least, not one that respects us.
