That’s not a knife….THIS is a knife.

I have some semi-secret hobbies.  One of them is cooking.  I call it a “hobby” since I really never do it.  But now that I have my new Shun Bob Kramer knife–and plan to build a set of awesome knives–I will be hobbying much more.  This is the craziest knife you ever saw.  Buy one if you can.

  1. Oh, just what today was missing. An obscure reference to Crocodile Dundee. Thank you thank you.

  2. Of course, now that you have the tools to break down a moose, we’ll be expecting something impressive out of la cuisine de Chez J.

Or is it going to be something like this?

If you would read your Knife book from Sur La Table, you’d know that this is not a good knife for deboning or breaking down any animal for cooking-certainly not mooses. I am prepared to chop soft foods. Ergo, I have been cooking Paget’s Chicken Pot Pie & Bon Appetit’s Scallops and Cauliflower Puree.

  4. I love the word ergo. And fancy knives! When I got married a friend of ours gave us a set of 3 Globals, and I soooo love them. My husband already had Henkels. We are very knife-ful. It makes cooking at other, less knife-ful people’s houses really annoying!

Sorry, Kristina. I just found your comment in the spam file. Must be the linx. And we actually hide knives in my grandfather’s house for us to use when we visit. That’s how bad it is.
