there’s wejew. top videos? a seinfeld episode, frasier’s klingon bar mitzvah, robert klien, mel brooks, forgotten prison jews, elayne boosler. you can’t make this up. i wanted to embed the “my love roshh” vid but it won’t let me. suffice to say, it is cute, frightening, nostalgic, and apparently sponsored by Birthright Israel, which makes me miss Shaul.

UPDATE:  Tina Fetner gives us a really good summary of what should go into a one page research statement (say, for a granting agency):

“My proposed study is about this. Here is why this problem is important. Here is what we know about this problem. These studies leave THIS IMPORTANT THING that needs to be found out. Here is what I will do to find that out. I will do the study this way. It will produce these results. This is the value of doing the work. This is why I am qualified to do it, and whom I’ll work with. Remember, this is the contribution my study will make.”
